The Obligatory Post

Well lookee here, it's 2011. I hope i don't make it a habit to post an entry ONCE a year LoL But an Ali E. update on our December Daily ... its on my scrap table, gathering dust and emptier (if there is such a word!) than a worm's belly ... if it has one.

What's new? Well, I slept at 2am today. Not exactly new, for me anyway ; but the catch, was that I woke up 40 minutes later only to end up either staring at the ceiling or fiddle with my phone. Flash forward, it was almost 5am. Dizzy isn't the word.

I called in sick today, it helps if your aunt is your boss and its a family run business *wink wink* This happens a couple of months, so no, I didn't do this on purpose ..ahem. Anyhoo, I know I should be sleeping but my breakfast is keeping me awake. So while my Jillian Michaels sandwich is digesting and this being a craft-inspired blog, I think I should take it upon myself to post my favorite scrapbook/craft rooms. What's a scrap/crafts blog without the obligatory favorite room right?  Well, that and i'm having a contractor come over to help me make something of my sad, sad scrap corner.

*Please forgive me for not posting the sources, these are pegs i've collected and has been on my desktop for months even years until it will see the light of day. Hopefully in a few months ;-) If you know which source it's from, feel free to let me know and i'll update the image right away*

Oh, but save the room below, I am so in love with it I saved it as a bookmark! Check out the rest of her space, it's just scrap heaven with all that space from SAWDUST AND PAPER SCRAPS. Can you believe she won't get to use it??? Check her blog to find out why ;-)

So I had this bright idea ...

It's been a year and 2 months since I last scrapped. I went back to school in September of 2009 and little did I know it was the end of my beloved hobby and blog(s), albeit temporarily. Right after my graduation last October, I decided to go through my supplies. My beloved scrap supplies, all covered with dust which did not help my allergic rhinitis any better either.

I had a stack, literally 4 feet tall stack of unopened kits and even my own Studio Azul kits were left untouched. So i sat down on the floor one evening and went through them ALL. I didn't know where to start! Everything was so famliar yet so new at the same time, now I know how Charlie felt in Willy Wonka's factory! Nakakalurkey!!! There was so much new stuff I couldn't keep track of it!

And so I had this bright idea. I was surfing the net one day and decided to blog hop among the famous scrap diva's and my personal favorites just so I can get some inspiration, ofcourse on top of my list was Ali Edwards blog. Then I discovered her December Daily which has been going on for the past 3 years now. Essentially it's a mini-album, 6x8 inches for this year, which you prepare before December rolls in. Each page represents everyday of December from the 1st to the 25th, you document each day accordingly. Simple, fast and easy but lots and lots of room for creativity; and that's why I love Ali ;-)
